Commemoration 2026
The Commemoration Ceremony is held on 13 November.
Ceremony in the Ceremonial Hall
The ceremony takes place in the Ceremonial Hall and is for invited guests.
The Chairman of the Board, Rector, and the Student Council President give speeches, and a reseacher gives a scientific Commemorative Lecture.
The Teacher of the Year Award, The Innovation Award and The Study Environment Award are awarded. Honorary doctorates and doctorates are proclaimed and students who have been awarded for their prize paper receive a gold or silver medal.
The University of Copenhagen Wind Players perform the traditional Fanfare, and the University hymn Holy Flame is performed.
The ceremony is followed by a reception.
Evening event
The evening event takes place at The Copenhagen Opera House, where Evita will be performed.

Tickets for the Opera
Every year students and employees at the University get the opportunity to buy tickets for the evening event at the Opera House.
Tickets can be bought via a link on KUnet on Tuesday 20 October at 12.00.
