Nominate your candidate for the Teacher of the Year Award
Who can be nominated for the award?
Every year, at the Commemoration the University of Copenhagen awards the Teacher of the Year Award, to one of the University's fixed or part-time teachers for the best and most inspiring teaching.
What is the purpose of the award?
With the award, the University of Copenhagen wishes to accentuate and appreciate high-quality university teaching. The winner receives a porcelain owl and DKK 25,000 at the Commemoration 2025. Read more about the Teacher of the Year Award here.
Who can nominate?
The Academic Board on Education Strategy (KUUR) has discussed the importance of students nominating teachers for the University’s Teacher of the Year Award. This means that nominations for the award may come from individual students, groups of students or collaborations involving students (for example under the study boards). Nominations made solely by employees or teaching colleagues without involving students will therefore not be considered.
When is the deadline?
The deadline is 3 April 2025.
