Commemoration 2024
The Commemoration Ceremony is held on 8 November.
Ceremony in the Ceremonial Hall
The ceremony takes place from 12:45 to 14:30 and is for invited guests.
The Chairman of the Board, Rector, and the Student Council President give speeches, and a reseacher gives a scientific Commemorative Lecture.
The Teacher of the Year Award, The Innovation Award and The Study Environment Award are awarded. Honorary doctorates and doctorates are proclaimed and students who have been awarded for their prize paper receive a gold or silver medal.
The University of Copenhagen Wind Players perform the traditional Fanfare, and the University of Copenhagen Choir perform the University hymn Holy Flame.
The ceremony is followed by a reception.
Evening event
The evening event takes place at The Copenhagen Opera House, where Le nozze di Figaro by Mozart will be performed.

Tickets for the Opera
Every year students and employees at the University get the opportunity to buy tickets for the evening event at the Opera House. Tickets can be bought via a link on KUnet a few weeks prior the event.
