Do you know UCPH’s best teacher, most innovative researcher or someone making a difference for the study environment?
All students and employees at the University of Copenhagen are invited to nominate candidates for the Teacher of the Year Award, the Innovation Award or the Study Environment Award 2021.
The winners will receive their awards at the annual commemoration, Friday 12 November 2021.
The Innovation Award
The award is presented to a researcher or a group of researchers who has made an outstanding effort to create new knowledge and bring it to use for the benefit of society. The award supports the University’s strategic efforts to promote innovation and knowledge-based collaboration with the surrounding society. In addition to the honour, the winner will receive a work of art and a cheque of DKK 25,000.
The Teacher of the Year Award
The Teacher of the Year Award is given to one of the University's teachers, part- or full time employed, for good and inspirational teaching. By giving out the award, the University of Copenhagen wishes to highlight and appreciate high-quality university teaching. The winner receives a porcelain owl and DKK 25,000.
Nominees for the Teacher of the Year Award will also be considered for the National Teaching Prize, which is awarded by the Ministry of Higher Education and Science.
The Study Environment Award
The Study Environment Award is awarded to an individual or unit at UCPH (students, members of academic staff, members of technical and administrative staff, sections, associations or student organisations) in recognition of tangible improvements to the quality of the study environment at the University, including initiatives that have made the study environment more international. Besides the honour of winning, the award also comes with a piece of art and DKK 25,000 to be used in further efforts to strengthen the study environment for UCPH students.
Deadline for nominations is 3 May 2021
All three awards will be awarded at the University of Copenhagen's annual commemoration on Friday 12 November 2021.
